Bast Storage is located in the historic former J.A. Lamy Manufacturing Company building in downtown Sedalia, Missouri. All of our storage rooms are on the ground floor. The building was built in 1893, and for many years was used by J.A. Lamy Manufacturing Co. to manufacture Levi’s jeans. The building sits only a short stone’s throw from where the saloons and bordellos “stored” the cowboys in the days when Sedalia was the end of the Cattle Drive.
About Bast Storage:
Bast Storage provides Sedalia, Pettis County, and West Central Missouri with climate-controlled self-storage for residential, business, professional, and government clients. Our customers include homeowners managing their existing space or moving to new space; businesses managing inventory and office records; professional service providers storing important records and documents. Our clients store in our climate-controlled facilities because they want their items back – in the same condition that they left them!
All of our self-storage rooms are climate-controlled, not some small portion as an afterthought. This is what we do, and people have come to know us for it.
All of our storage rooms are secured through video surveillance and computer monitored access. The facilities are also inspected daily by our personnel.
Every room can be accessed by either ground level or dock high entry points so as to accommodate our customers’ transportation choices. To move your goods inside our facilities, Bast Storage provides our clients with carts and pallet trucks to minimize physical strain and to speed the process.
We also have more than 60 different room sizes so that each customer can find the exact size room to fit his or her storage needs – no paying for unused space! Get what you want, not whatever is available.
Bast Storage provides pest and insect control so that all stored goods remain clean. Our clients have commented that they should be as diligent with this in their own homes and businesses! We are committed to cleanliness.
Our prices for climate-controlled storage space are so low that we have made it comparable to outdoor storage. People and businesses who before might have subjected their goods to the extreme temperature changes of outdoor storage now find it economically feasible to store them in a hospitable climate.
