I am sure that bugs and whatnot would love the climate inside our facilities, but we do such a thorough job of pest control that they are not allowed. We do not charge extra for keeping the place free of pests. Come see us.
5-11-2011 Air Conditioning Changes the Climate

Well, it was just a matter of time. One of the people with whom I work claims that the dramatic change in the temperature in Sedalia, Missouri is due to the fact that, during these tight times, even Mother Nature has had to downsize and go from four seasons to two seasons – winter and summer. Gone, she claims, are spring and fall where temperatures are moderate and humidity is reasonable. However, there is no need to fear. Under this same reasoning one could say that we at Bast Storage have some time ago downsized to one season – pleasant. It is always nice inside our storage facilities and that never changes. Every storage room/unit is the same basic temperature today as it was in January; still clean; still nice; still easy to access. Please come see us.

Do please remember that moving into and out of Bast Storage is easier than at most climate controlled facilities. We have docks at various heights and carts that allow you to save your back for more important things. At Bast Storage, it is ultra-convenient to store your possessions.

Surely. Surely. Surely the climate outside will change in the next few weeks. In fact, as the saying goes, we will likely be complaining about the heat before too long. Come check us out and be ready. We have easy loading and unloading areas and carts to move your possessions from the door to your room. Pest control goes monthly and we even have restrooms – we are the only storage facility in Sedalia with that. See you soon.
3-14-2011 Who Needs This Climate?

I wrote last month that “winter will end, it always does.” I am currently re-thinking that after the 3 inches of snow today! Regardless, it is this sort of volatile weather that makes our storage all the more important in west central Missouri. Sedalia will get through this winter yet, and those folks that have their worldly possessions in our rooms will never know the difference.

Mid Missouri has had about all of the winter we really care to have. Snow came again last night to the tune of about 2″. Spring will come. It always does. Even when it does you will be better off having your worldly possessions stored properly – in climate-controlled storage. Please come see us and brighten our day.
2-16-2011 Climate-Controlled Units are Steady

Last week it was 17 degrees as a high temperature in Sedalia, Missouri. Today it is going to be 60 degrees. Regardless, it has been about 70 degrees the entire time inside Bast Storage’s facilities. Can you dig what I mean?

Thumbing through some light reading lately, it came to my attention that the folks in the insurance business understanding the positives behind climate controlled storage. The Insurance Information Institute recommends you “select a secure, dry facility with climate-controlled units. They should have been built with fire-resistant material. The roof should be in good condition without signs of interior leaks.”
