7-21-2010 Ingress/Egress Better at Bast Storage

Have have taken particular care in making sure that we have different levels of access to the storage areas at Bast. Some people move in/out using dock-high trucks. Some people move their possessions with pickups or similar height beds. Others still need to walk in or even use a two-wheeler at ground level. We have different levels of access to accommodate every need. We have a business customer who has product delivered by tractor/trailer so they need dock-high. They then take the product out and into a van so they need a much lower dock. No problem; we can and do handle that at Bast. Come see us.

7-8-2010 Central Missouri Humidity No Match for Bast Storage

This time of year the humidity begins to crank up in west central Missouri, and outside is no place to be some days. Inside Bast Storage the climate is considerably more stable. Storing stuff with us is like having it sit in your spare bedroom - only you do not have to step around it every time you want to get to the closet in that room! Humidity is not the friend of stored possessions this time of year. Materials that take in moisture now are prone to serious deterioration when moisture is removed and replaced during normal weather conditions in the midwest. Stay with us. It is just better.

Having 60 something different sizes of climate controlled storage rooms at Bast Storage has been such an advantage to our customer. We can dial in to the exact size of room needed so that no customer need pay for space that they can never use. I helped a woman a few days ago find the exact size of room that fit what she needed to store and fit her budget. We have storage rooms from 45 sq. ft. to 700 sq. ft. and most everything in between. 6-4-2010 Climate is Sweet in Bast Storage

Just came back from a trip around all three of our facilities, and I am constantly in awe of the way it feels walking through the hallways - particularly this time of year when the heat and humidity really builds on sunny days. It is like being in your office or home. Truly. Our storage rooms are Sedalia’s finest, and that is not just me bragging. When you walk in you will know. It has not flooded in Sedalia, but it rained enough to have done so. This is a crazy amount of rain, but things are completely dry inside Bast Storage and our climate controlled facilities. One of the things that controlling the climate does is to control the humidity that comes along with the rainy season. If your possessions are sitting in traditional outside storage, they may be covered but they are taking in the moisture that is in the air. If your things are inside one of Bast Storage’s climate-controlled rooms, they are being exposed to the elements only in the same way that they would be inside your own home - that is to say they are not exposed!

We are finding that businesses really like the climate controlled feature of our storage. This is a great environment in which to have employees working in a warehouse setting. If we only had weather like this, there would be no need for climate controlled storage in Sedalia, MO. However, this is the exception, not the rule as far as weather goes. Many of our customers are smart and take advantage of weather like this to move in to our climate controlled facilities. That way, they do not have to be laboring outside when you NEED to be in a climate controlled environment. I’m just sayin’!
